The RFU have reached out with two requests – one a competition to get involved in to win a personalised ACME Thunderer, and another a request for images. Please see details below:

ACME Thunderer Selfie Competition
If your members would like to enter the ACME Thunderer Selfie Competition please ask them to post a selfie, featuring their whistle with the following text on their social media. ACME will select their 10 favourite photos at the end of April and those winners shall all receive a personalised, engraved ACME Thunderer.

“I nominate (tag a minimum of 2 MOs but the more the merrier) to take part in the @acme_whistles selfie competition to be in with a chance of winning a personalised ACME Thunderer. @acme_whistles @RFU_refs #BEPARTOFTHETEAM (tag referee society and rugby club/venue)”

A day in the life of a referee
We’d like to build a bank of images and video footage of referees enjoying themselves, we hope this can be used in marketing campaigns to showcase refereeing as an enjoyable pastime as well as humanising the referee’s role, this links in nicely with an RFU Discipline campaign aimed at stamping out abuse from our game. If your members have any suitable, high-resolution images we can use, with the photographer’s permission of course, then please invite them to send them to me (mailto:LeoniePryor@RFU.com).
